Thousands of students to start lives as Patriots this summer

Close to 5,000 new students and family members will get a glimpse of campus life as a Patriot this summer through university orientations.

'No impact on library operations' after minor flood

Part of Fenwick Library flooded last week due to heavy rains and a blocked drain.

“We did have some water enter the basement of Fenwick Library overnight on Thursday night,” said Dorothy Lockaby, head of University Libraries Access Services.

Lockaby cited the reason for the flooding as heavy rains that came into the area last week coupled with a blocked drain.

'DMV 2 Go' on way to campus

Need to visit the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and apply for a driver’s license or ID? If you wait until next week, they can kind of visit you.

The DMV will bring its DMV 2 Go service to George Mason University from June 13 through June 16.

DMV 2 Go, a 32-foot handicapped-accessible mobile office, will arrive at Lot A in the Fairfax campus on June 13 - 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

‘Neighborhoods’ to split campus into four parts
