University Mall Giant hoping to become first grocery store to accept Mason Money

As the Fairfax community and Mason continue to grow, the Mason Money program is also expanding. Perhaps the biggest sign of expansion is the decision of one Giant grocery store to begin working towards accepting Mason Money in 2012.

On Friday, Sept. 2, College Colors Day comes to Mason. The event is intended to encourage students, faculty/staff, and alumni to represent Mason by wearing their green and gold garb throughout the day.

Economic Burden Shifted to Mason Students, Parents

George Mason University (GMU) and higher learning institutions around the country have responded to the double-headed monster of state budget cuts and an ailing economy by forcing students and parents to shoulder an increasing share of the economic burden, according to GMU officials and knowledgeable observers.
