Women's hoops cruises against William & Mary, 82-70
|Fairfax, Va.– The George Mason women’s squad put their losing streak to an end on Thursday, defeating CAA rival William and Mary by a score of 82-70 in the Patriot Center. The Patriots (8-9, 2-4) used their home court to their advantage as their second half surge put the Tribe (8-9,2-4) away, and are now back to their winning ways in dynamic fashion as they saw five players score in double digits.
Men's hoops remains atop CAA standings with win over Delaware
|Fairfax, Va.– The Patriots (14-5, 6-1) came out on fire Wednesday night as they easily defeated the Blue Hens of Delaware (7-10, 3-4) in the first of a three-game conference homestand, 89-63, successfully maintaining their position tied atop the CAA standings with Old Dominion.
Senior forwards Mike Morrison and Ryan Pearson led the way for the Patriots.
“It was a good team effort, obviously Mike and Ryan were terrific tonight, they got the game started,” head coach Paul Hewitt said.

Fairfax, Va. - The men’s basketball team (8-5) took down the Manhattan Jaspers (8-4) by 20 points, 81-61, to rebound from their first home loss in more than a year.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – After competing against the conference basement-dweller, Towson, on Wednesday, the men’s basketball team (6-3, 1-0) fell to the UVA Cavaliers (8-1, 0-0) on Tuesday night by a 20-point margin, 68-48, for their first loss of the season in regulation.
