Long before the shadows of Founders Hall were cast towards George Mason University’s graduate campus on Fairfax Drive, there stood a rectangular red brick building serving as a central part of Mason’s Arlington campus. The Arlington Original Building as it is still called, was a Kann’s department store prior to becoming home to many of Mason’s academic programs.

Paul Hewitt backs current NCAA system for student-athletes
|Imagine receiving the brunt end of a fiery debate that rocks the foundation of American higher education to its core and you are just months removed from high school and had no prior hand in the debate.
Add in the fact that rules were implemented for your current organization by an outside organization that is preventing you from turning professional, forcing you to join said current organization, and you have thousands of men who are labeled as coddled and not deserving of fame.

The women and men that can be seen on the sidelines of the basketball games dressed in head to toe peppiness leading the crowd despite the outcome of the games receive little recognition for the accomplishments they achieve on and off the court.
Student Government election hub
|Each spring, Mason’s student government hosts its election for student senate and student body President. The organization’s constitution states its goal as “advocate the interests of the student body, educate the University community with regard to the state of the institution, and represent the interests of each student”. Furthermore, Student Government serves as a liason between the administration, faculty, staff, and University community.

Men's basketball's frustrating season continues with second loss to George Washington
|With three seconds remaining in the first half of Sunday’s Atlantic 10 matchup between Mason and George Washington at the Charles E. Smith Center, head coach Paul Hewitt called a timeout to set up a possible game tying play just minutes after blowing a six-point lead.
Marko Gujanicic inbounded the ball to Byron Allen who raced up the court and found a wide-open Patrick Holloway already cocked in-stance, ready to hit a long range jumper.
Instead, the ball went directly through the sophomore’s hands and out of bounds to end the first half.
