Mason Madness ignites basketball fever

Last Friday marked the first opportunity for the public to take a look at the Mason men’s and women’s basketball teams on the court in the Green and Gold scrimmage.

|Mason men’s and women’s basketball teams will tip off their season at Mason Madness on Friday, Oct. 18 at 8 p.m. at the Patriot Center. Men’s head coach Paul Hewitt and women’s head coach Nyla Milleson will address the crowd before the men’s team takes part in the annual Green vs. Gold scrimmage.

|The start of a new season welcomes in the hope and anticipation of success. On Friday night the entire college basketball world opened the door to the 2012-2013 season around the country. At the Patriot Center at George Mason University, the men's and women's basketball teams ushered in the next chapter of the Mason basketball story at the annual Mason Madness event.
