Senior guard John Vaughan collapsed during last night's basketball game against Northeastern University. During the Huskies’ free-throw, he fell unconscious and remained on the floor for over fifteen minutes. According to ESPN.com, Vaughan suffered a concussion after "absorbing an inadvertent elbow from Northeastern's Eugene Spates with 2:12 remaining" in the game.
The article went on to explain that Vaughan was released early this morning from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and was scheduled to return to Fairfax today.
George Mason suffered their first CAA loss of the season, but only lost to the Huskies by one-point (58-57). Their current CAA standing is 7-1, tied with Northeastern and VCU.
