Mason announced it has partnered with Moscow State University, Russia’s leading institution of higher education, to offer a new dual-degree program. Enrolled students will receive two degrees, one from Mason and one from Moscow State.

Moscow State students participating in the program will earn a bachelor of science in either economics or management from each institution. A minimum of 10 students will be necessary for each degree program, and is expected to grow to 150 Russian students in its fourth year.

The administration at Moscow State approached Mason about the partnership following a visit from Mason Provost Peter Stearns in 2007.

The program is scheduled to be implemented in September 2009, with Russian students arriving at Mason in January 2010.
