Media outlets from across the nation drew their attention to George Mason University this Friday for a presidential rally that packed the campus’s Patriot Center for a discussion on the proposed health reform package in Congress.

President Barack Obama, who has now spoken at the university three times since he was elected president and once as an underdog presidential candidate, related the current political climate around the legislation to one of Rock 'Em, Sock 'Em Robots and emphasized hopes for American health reform espoused by presidents as early as Teddy Roosevelt.

"Right now we are at the point where we are going to do something historic this weekend," Obama said. "We have waited long enough. And in just a few days, a century-long struggle will culminate in a historic vote."
