Latest Hispanic Culture Review now available
The Hispanic Culture Review, a bilingual academic journal distributed by the Office of Student Media, is pleased to announce that the Fall 2010-Spring 2011 issue is now available for pick-up. The magazine celebrates its twentieth anniversary with an excellent contribution of poetry and essays written in English and Spanish.
The authors come from the George Mason community and different states, as well as Belgium, Portugal, Puerto Rico and Spain.
The journal also features a special contribution about the "Threads of Hope: The Chilean Arpilleras Movement" event, sponsored by Women & Gender Studies, Department of Modern & Classical Languages, and University Life. The arpilleras are textiles created by women to commemorate relatives who “disappeared” during Augusto Pinochet’s dictatorship in Chile.
Hispanic Culture Review is free for the George Mason community and you can stop by the Student Media Office to pick up a copy. Other readers can purchase the journal for $7 by writing to hcr@gmu.edu or hcr.gmu@gmail.com.
