Mason student hip-hop duo to perform at Pilot House as part of 'Live @' series

Hip-hop group Styles of Conflict, consisting of Mason students Justin Lalputin and Gene Kim, is performing this Friday, Oct. 7, at the Pilot House as part of Housing and Residence Life's "Live @" series.

Styles of Conflict consider themselves “2 MC’s who are tired with a lot of current trends in Mainstream Hip-Hop” who “decided to put out their own stuff, and remind everyone what Hip-Hop is about.”

Student musician Philip Bridges will provide an intermission performance.

"Live @" is a free concert series featuring student performers that is held at the Pilot House two to three times a semester from 8 to 10 PM.

“Our goal is to provide diverse musical acts that showcase the talents of our students at George Mason University,” says Joey Allen, Resident Director of the Hampton Roads and Blue Ridge Residential Communities.

"Live @" will move to Southside starting in the spring semester.

On October 21st, "Live @" will feature R&B group 40Love.  Any student wishing to participate in "Live @" may contact Allen at jallen23@gmu.edu to schedule an audition.
