Greek Week's Shackathon raises $7500, awareness for homeless [VIDEO]
This year's Greek Week shifted focus to highlight the philanthropic endeavors of the Mason Greek Community, and that extended to the annual Shackathon fundraiser that serves as one of the focal points of the weeklong event.
Together, the Greeks raised over $7500 for Habitat for Humanity with a goal of shedding light on the situation of the homeless. The efforts also garnered over 8000 pounds of food for donation.
For the first time, Greek Organizations paired up to build their fraternities and sororities' shacks out of recyclable materials.
Shackathon lasted from Sunday, March 25 to Tuesday, March 27.
