The global sports television network, ESPN will be holding a recruiting event at George Mason University on Thursday, Feb. 28 from 1:30 p.m to 2:30 p.m. in the Johnson Center, Room C.

The event, sponsored by University Career Services, focuses on ESPN jobs dealing with statistics, analytics and information within the ESPN Stats & Info Group.

Stats & Info is a part of ESPN that contributes to the network’s television, digital media, radio and other facets of the network, providing both research and statistical analysis.

The recruiting manager along with other members of the Stats & Info Group will be on hand to share different job and internship opportunities at ESPN and give brief advice and tips to apply and interview for a full-time position.

This is the first time that the network has visited the Mason campus, but ESPN has recruited in the DC-area before at the University of Maryland and George Washington University.

"They've heard good things about Mason and the variety of majors that are offered here," said Rachael Miner, the Manager of Experiential Learning at Mason. “It’s a great opportunity and we hope to have a large turnout so they will visit again.”

The event is open to all majors, especially for students who have a strong passion for sports, statistics, storylines, writing and editing.
