Pride Week Discusses Safe Sex, Celebrates Identity

If you haven't been able to attend any of the Pride Week events so far, here's a run through of what is still to come.

Wednesday, March 26th

  • Owning & Ending HIV: Globally, Locally, and Personally (7:00pm - 8:30pm @ JC Bistro): A panel of people impacted by HIV and from all locations will be sharing priceless information.
  • Community Service: Making Safer Sex Kits Before and After HIV event (JC Bistro): This is a great opportunity to pitch in your volunteering spirit and help prevent HIV in our area by helping reach their goal of 1,000 kits for the clients of Whitman Walker.

Thursday, March 27th

  • Ally Appreciation Reception (5:00pm - 7:00pm @ SUB 1 Patriot's Lounge)
  • Igniting the Mic: Creative Expressions of Identity (8:00pm - 11:00pm @ JC Bistro): Catch the stand-up comedy of Lianna Carrera.
  • Arlington Campus LGBTQA Community Social(6:00pm - 8:00pm @ Sette Bello Resturant, 3101 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA.): Appetizers will be provided.

Friday, March 28th

  • Shabbat Dinner (6:15pm - 8:00pm @ SUB 1 Patriot's Lounge)
  • Community Resource Fair (7:00pm - 11:00pm @ JC Atrium): Visit the Kiosks to learn and gain important resources about the LGBT community organizations.
  • Drag Show (8:00pm - 11:00pm @ JC Atrium): You don't want to miss this.

Saturday, March 29th

Sunday, March 30th

  • Pride Week's Own International House of Pancakes (12:00pm - 6:00pm @ Potomac Heights Multi-Purpose Room): Enjoy FREE FOOD and films about LGBTQ around the world.
