Few people are aware that George Mason University has a winterguard. Many people don’t even know what a winterguard is until they spot the flags and rifles tossed high into the air. Mason’s group, Declaration, is in its third year and is slowly gaining visibility on campus.

Cops Search SUB I for Irate Person

UPDATED: The suspect in question has been found, and is currently being "involuntarily held" for questioning, according to GMU officer Andrew Galle. - 3/31/08 16:00
At least six officers are searching Student Union Building I for what officers described as an irate person wearing a black or red jacket that spells Northface, according to GMU police officer Calvin Chandler.
The initial complaint was filed by the Office of Disability Services, said Chandler, information that was later confirmed by the Office of Disability Services.
"We always get reports like this, all the time," said Chandler. "Wouldn't you be irate? With tuition and rising prices?"

Divine Nine Dance for Annual Step Show

Last Saturday, The Divine Nine fraternities and sororities of the George Mason University National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. held their 2008 Step Show Competition in Harris Theatre. The sold-out show, hosted by Larry Smith of Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc. hosted the show for the second year in a row, featured presentations by Omega Psi Phi, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc., Zeta Phi Beta, Inc., Iota Phi Theta, Inc., Sigma Gamma Rho, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., and Phi Beta Sigma, Inc.
The ladies Zeta Omicron chapter of Zeta Phi Beta, Inc. and the men of Rho Tau Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma, Inc. won first place. Sigma Gamma Rho, Inc. took second place for the sororities while the Eta Delta Delta chapter of Omega Psi Phi, Inc.
