Dining, Housing Reveal Initiatives at Townhall

In a townhall meeting sponsored by Student Government Monday night, Mason dining and housing administrators met with students to explain some of the new initiatives and developments arriving at Mason in the next few years.

Tornado and Flood Watch Issued for Fairfax, Va.

A tornado watch has been issued by the National Weather Service and will remain in effect until 3 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Additionally, a flood watch will be in effect until 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Showers and scattered thunderstorms are forecasted. Strong winds are also expected and may cause damage.
Merten Initiates Provost Review Panel

President Merten appointed nine committee members to review Provost Stearns' reappointment next year, according to the Gazette.
Not Your Average Pro-Life Forum

Pro-life advocates related experiences and gave testimony about the effects of abortion in society on March 3 in the JC Cinema. “Not Your Average Pro-Life Forum” was sponsored by Students for Life, College Republicans, Catholic Campus Ministries, Israel on Campus, and Iota Phi Beta.
A panel of six speakers comprised the evening’s program. Each speaker related his or her personal position on the issue of abortion before participating in a Q & A forum with the audience.
"Aqui Estoy" Is Here

The Chicago-based Albany Park Theater Project will perform for the first time at George Mason University on Tuesday, March 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Building Room A105.
The performance titled “Aqui Estoy,” which means “I am here” in Spanish, is free and open to the public. The Text and Community Program at Mason is hosting the play as part of their Mason Project on Immigration.
