Ten writers in this year’s Fall for the Book festival are lending their support to the Service Employees International Union which is currently assisting Sodexo workers in their dispute over alleged low wages and poor working conditions on the Mason campus.

Getting from point A to point B for students without cars on-campus can be difficult, but now there is a new option for getting around.

If you spot someone in the Johnson Center on the 2nd or 3rd floor between 2:30 and 4 p.m., roaming around with a determined yet tired look on their face, you know they aren’t looking for an empty table to study. Yesterday, that someone was me.

Starting this semester the Office of Housing and Residence Life has grouped the eight housing areas into three residential neighborhoods—the Northwest, the Central and the Southeast.

The Northwest neighborhood currently includes Commonwealth, Northern Neck, Hampton Roads, the Student Apartments and the Townhouses. Once the Housing VIII-A project is completed, it, the Townhouses and the Student Apartments will become their own neighborhood, making Commonwealth, Hampton Roads and Northern Neck a separate neighborhood.
