Fasolini granted conditional release

Standing before Magistrate Judge Alan Kay, Diego Fasolini — the part-time Italian professor arrested on child pornography charges — was granted conditional release today until the continuation of Friday’s scheduled preliminary hearing. United States of America v. Diego Fasolini will reconvene until Dec. 10.

At the age of eight his family decided to pick up and move from the largest city in Colombia to a small wilderness town in Alaska.

Andres Chovil was born in Colombia and grew up speaking Spanish. When he was a child his family moved, because of his mother getting remarried, and transferred to the cold conditions of "The Last Frontier."

Faculty Senate introduces proposed Code of Ethics and budget outlook

The GMU Faculty Senate met Nov. 10, to hear reports from several senate committees, approving several additions and amendments. The senate convened at 3 p.m. in Robinson Hall, room B113. The meeting was open to all members of the Mason community.

VoxPop Rocks! to debut at Mason

VoxPop Rocks!, the latest installment of the Office of Student Media’s magazine, hits Mason today. The magazine looks to guide readers into the elaborate music scene of the Washington, D.C. metro region. From music venues, to bands, to interviews, VoxPop Rocks! touches on the growing community of musicians and artists in George Mason University’s backyard.

Student Government hosts legislative forum

George Mason University Student Government held a legislative forum on budget cuts and tuition increases for students titled "Speak Up or Pay Up" yesterday.

The forum consisted of 3 delegates from the Virginia General Assembly, representatives from "Virginia 21" a non-profit advocacy group for politically informed young adults, and senators from Student Government. After prepared questions, moderators from SG shifted towards a Q & A segment for the audience.

Veterans Day transit changes

Veterans Day tomorrow means CUE Bus and Metro will operate on amended schedules.

CUE Bus will run on a modified weekday schedule, which means service will consist of one bus on each route. CUE Bus schedules are available here.

Metro will run on a Saturday schedule but with a normal weekday opening of 5 a.m. Metro information can be found here.
