The New England Patriots and the New York Giants will face off again in the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. for Super Bowl XLVI.
The two teams played each other in 2008 for the Vince Lombardi trophy, with the Giants standing victorious in the 4th quarter, 17-14.
Mason ‘throws its hat’ into national program to help wounded soldiers
|Hats are being sold in the Johnson Center bookstore to support wounded soldiers and Mason Athletics. Royalties will be split for the hats as part of a national program originally conceived at the University of New Hampshire.
Patriots hope to rebound for Homecoming
|Coming off just their second conference loss, Paul Hewitt and his George Mason Patriots (18-6, 10-2) return to Fairfax looking to dethrone the Monarchs of Old Dominion in front of the Homecoming crowd Saturday afternoon.
With their loss at Delaware Wednesday night, the Patriots also dropped their position alone in first place of the CAA. They now sit in a three-way tie atop the standings with Drexel and VCU. The Patriots lost their only matchup against Drexel this season back on Jan. 12 in Philadelphia and have two games upcoming against rival VCU.
Burger King now delivering to locations in DC area, including Fairfax Campus
|Burger King has begun offering delivery service to select locations in the Washington D.C. area as part of a test-market initiative, and the Fairfax Campus is one of them.
Students are now able to place delivery orders online or by phone. The website states there is a $10 minimum for delivery orders and an additional $2 dollar delivery charge that is added to all orders.
Mason's 6-game streak snapped at Delaware
|NEWARK, Del. – Late-game shooting consistency proved the difference-maker in the Delaware Blue Hens’ (10-12, 6-6) win over the George Mason men’s basketball team (18-6, 10-2) Wednesday night. Although the Patriots boasted the only one-loss record in the Colonial Athletic Association coming in to the matchup, the Blue Hens took the first lead of the game with a quick 3-pointer and never gave it back. Delaware took care of their lead to finish with a 65-60 final score.
