The Vienna Boys Choir comes to Mason
|Steeped in history, the Vienna Boys Choir is perhaps one of the oldest thriving choirs in the world. The choir will be performing at George Mason University’s Center for the Arts on Friday, Dec. 14. They will be performing traditional Christmas carols in English as well a variety of other languages to accompany their program.
Longtime Mason employee named dean of admissions
|After a six month long search process, Provost Peter Stearns hired George Mason University Associate Dean of Admissions Amy Takayama-Perez, to serve as the new dean of admissions. The announcement was made on Dec. 5.
“[The search process] entailed a very capable and conscientious search committee, several rounds of Skype-type interviews, and on-campus interviews,” wrote Wayne Sigler, the Vice President for Enrollment Management, in an email.
Sonnen, Northern Iowa end Mason's 14-game home win streak with 82-77 win
|Entering Saturday night's game against the University of Northern Iowa Panthers, the George Mason University Patriots men's basketball team had six of their nine games decided by five points or less. The same held true against the Panthers (6-3), who snapped Mason's 14-game home win streak Saturday with a 82-77 at the Patriot Center.
