Turn on your television and dare to flip through the channels. Instantly, your senses are assaulted with countless images: television shows, ads, movies, news programs—symbols of purported significance being forced in front of your eyes and ingrained in the periphery of your mind. It starts on Nickelodeon. Patrick Star, a chubby pink starfish, gobbles down a plate of “Krabby Patties” and proceeds to burden his friends and neighbors with his formidable stupidity. Click.

OPINION: Differences between college basketball and the NBA are game changers

A few weeks back, Richmond (13-9) beat Virginia Commonwealth (17-5). Last week, The University of Virginia (15-5) beat No. 19 NC State (16-5). Can anyone tell me what Richmond and UVA have in common? CORRECT! They were both beaten by Mason this season.

Mason student government reaffirms shared governance, does not address UVa request

When confronted to condemn the University of Virginia’s Board of Visitors rector, George Mason University’s student government took a stance—to not be involved.

“We are not involving ourselves in the affairs of U.Va. nor its BoV; it is not in our place to do so,” reads Resolution 27, which upholds Mason’s student government’s belief in “shared governance.”

University officials hold plans for Tysons expansion

For the past year or so, the George Mason University administration has discussed the possibility of expanding the regional campuses to include Tysons.

“[Fairfax County] reached out to George Mason University to have a presence in Tysons [Corner] in the future, so we did a lot of planning and evaluating the feasibility of building classrooms and establishing a physical site,” said Kathleen Q. Johnson, assistant vice president for regional campuses.

In video games, just like life, there are individuals that just know how to get on your last nerve. In gaming, it’s the characters. The percentage of these frustratingly, annoying characters seems to have only increased recently. Maybe game developers get a kick out of creating such characters, but who really knows.

Exhibit showcases new international campus in Korea

Far from the humdrum suburbs of Fairfax, Mason’s new satellite campus is becoming a reality in Incheon, South Korea.
