1. COLDPLAY "Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends" (Capitol). Call these quasi-U2 knock-offs "overrated," "generic bubblegum rock," etc., but this is one album that has been all-too-difficult to stop listening to since its release back in June. Slinky violins, spotless production, and emotive vocalization, Coldplay are certainly the number one best sell-outs I know.

Recently in my article "Final Election Tally '08," I had declared North Carolina in favor of Barack Obama. But according to Yahoo!'s Political Dashboard and numerous reports suggested the state was still considered a tie.

Now, after careful examination of the county-to-county polls in North Carolina (which hasn't been won by a Democrat since 1976 when Jimmy Carter swept the state), the state is officially a blue state this election.

In an almost 13,700 deficit, the polls still show Obama 50% to McCain 50%, but is in Obama's favor with 100% precincts reported.
