Patriots swept by Delaware in final home series
|The Delaware Blue Hens (24-22, 14-10 CAA) brought their brooms to Fairfax this weekend against the Patriots (32-20, 15-12 CAA) in their final home series of the season.
The Blue Hens took the first game on Friday convincingly, 8-5, and then scratched out a 2-1 win on Saturday.
The Patriots, looking to avoid a weekend sweep against their conference rivals on Senior Day, were unable to do so.
Baseball falls to Delaware in weekend series opener, 8-5
|With the season winding down, the George Mason Patriots (32-18, 15-10 CAA) took on their conference opponents the Delaware Blue Hens (22-22, 12-10 CAA).
When the two teams played last year in Delaware, the Blue Hens swept the season series.
In the opening game of the series on Friday, the Blue Hens sprinted out to an early lead in the first inning, scoring four runs on five hits off of Patriots sophomore starting pitcher Anthony Montefusco.

The Johnson Center will be open 7 a.m. to 12 a.m. from Saturday, March 10 to Sunday, March 17.
New housing jobs to shift RA duties from desks to floors

Starting in the fall of 2011 resident advisers will no longer be required to man housing desks. The Office of Housing and Residence Life will be introducing a new post, that of desk assistant, to fulfill the function once carried out by RAs.
Spots remain open in Student Government election
|Student Government currently has 23 candidates running for 30 open positions for next year's Senate. As a result, due to a lack of competition, these candidates will all automatically win their election bids.

Main Buildings
The Johnson Center will be open 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. from Saturday, March 12 to Sunday, March 19.
The Bookstore in the JC will be open 9 am to 5 pm from Monday, March 14 to Thursday, March 17. Friday it will be open from 9 am to 4 pm.
Dining Services
In the JC, Burger King will be open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday, March 14 to Saturday, March 19.
Former Mason student sentenced to prison
|Zachary Adam Chesser, 21, was sentenced to 25 years in prison Thursday. He pleads guilty to supporting a terrorist group that threatened the lives of writers on the TV show “South Park.”
