Campus Starbucks 'Somewhere to be at Night'

Mason just got a bit more caffeinated.
As of 10 a.m. Sunday, the university’s new on-campus Starbucks will be pulling all-nighters with students, operating on a near 24-hour, 7 days a week schedule.

Like the summer, many major construction sites on George Mason University’s Fairfax campus are also winding down, ready for the influx of students for the 2009-2010 school year. The summer term saw great progression with many on-going construction sites and some saw their completion during summer 2009.

Obama Introduces GI Bill at Mason

President Barack Obama spoke today at an event held at George Mason University's Harris Theater unveiling the "Post 9-11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008."
The Act is modeled after the original GI Bill passed in 1944 which assisted World War II veterans to obtain college degrees. John Warner, a former United States Senator for Virginia and guest speaker at the event, touted the fact that his engineering degree was paid for through that bill.

Damon's Grill and Damon's Express will not be returning this fall to George Mason University. Rumors have been circulating around the University for some time, but were confirmed today by Dining Services' Resident District Manager Denise Ammaccapane.
New Meal Plans Offered for Fall

Beginning this August, new meal plans will be offered. As previously announced, Freedom funds will no longer be available to freshmen. However, in their place, the All University Card Office is offering a new Block Meals plan.
