Documentary exposing the dangers of uranium mining features at Cinema Arts Theatre
|Cinema Arts Theatre on Main Street held a free screening and Q&A of an environmental documentary titled “Hot Water,” written and produced by Lizabeth Rogers.
The event, held on Nov. 14, was sponsored by the We the People Campaign. It exposed the possible hazards of uranium mining in the United States.
Nuclear power plants have a legacy of both financial and environmental strain through uranium mining, leaving behind enough chemical residues to contaminate local air, food, and water supplies.
The Fall Dance Concert exhibits the emotional work of senior dance majors
|Nov. 14 marks the first senior-produced dance concert for Mason’s School of Dance, where senior dance majors will debut their own theater pieces that they have spent the past semester creating in the Fall Dance Concert.

This weekend from Oct. 3 to Oct. 6, the Mason Players will be sharing this play with the Mason community as its first piece presented in its 2013-2014 season.

Art exhibit draws on themes of time
|This past Thursday, nine different artists filled the Fine Art Gallery in the Art and Design Building with their drawings. In an exhibit entitled Draw(n) Out, these artists showcased their work focused on the theme of time. Draw(n) Out’s purpose was to push the boundaries of the ideas people have about drawing.
