2013 Election Overview
With an election precinct at University Hall, voting in the general election has never been easier for Mason students. On Nov. 5, Mason students will be able to vote for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General and the Virginia House of Delegates. To vote, students will need to present valid identification. Acceptable identification includes:
- Virginia Voter Registration Card
- Virginia Driver’s Lisence
- Military ID
- A Federal, Virginia, or Local Government issued ID
- Employer issued photo ID card
- Concealed Handgun Permit
- Valid student ID issued by any institution of higher education in Virginia
- Current utility bill, bank statement, government check or paycheck indicating name and address of voter
- Social Security Card
Anyone who arrives without an ID may fill out a ballot, but must present identification to the electoral board by noon, Nov. 8. The last day to apply for an absentee ballot was Oct. 29. The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
