Live Video: VP, Provost Host Student Budget Forum at Ike’s
Students were able to 'get the scoop' on how George Mason University's budget changes will affect them today at a brownie sundae forum.
Provost Peter Stearns and Senior Vice President Morrie Scherrens hosted the forum, which was held at Ike’s Diner from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The forum allowed students facing an expected 8 percent tuition hike amid multi-million budget cuts to ask questions of the administration.
“In the past years we have done this forum for Student Government, but the Provost and I have not been able to find a date that works for all of us,” said Scherrens in an e-mail correspondence. “So it was decided to have the forum this year and open it up to larger student audience.”
