The George Mason University Baseball team received an at-large bid to the NCAA 63rd Annual Division I Men's College World Series. The Patriots, which won over 40 games this season, was eliminated last week from the CAA Championships after loosing to UNC Wilmington 5-3. The NCAA, however, found their record worthy enough to be invited to the tournament.
The Patriots are seeded third in the Greenville, N.C. Regional. They will play second-seeded University of South Carolina Gamecocks Friday at 3 p.m. The Patriots are 0-6 all-time against the Gamecocks and 1-10 all-time in the NCAA Championships.
