Mason Madness to Kick Off Basketball Season

Mason Madness, the annual kick-off event for the Patriots basketball season, is this Friday, Oct. 17 at 9 p.m. at the Patriot Center. Entertainment for the night includes Step Afrika, a Washington DC-based professional dance group, and student group Urbanknowlogy will perform. Also present will be the Patriots Cheerleaders, the Masonettes, and Doc Nix and the Green Machine.

The players and coaches from both the men’s and women’s basketball teams will be introduced to the crowd and will play scrimmages for the audience. The event is celebrating its 12th year anniversary, and it marks when the team can start to practice. Make sure to come early for the pre-Mason Madness gathering at the south entrance of the Patriot Center for drinks, Mason gear, and music. This event is free and open to the public.
