Scuba Discovered at Prince William Campus

By Connect2Mason Podcast Director Matt Loffman

At George Mason's Prince William campus, students jumped into the pool last weekend for more than just swimming.

Discover Scuba gave students and members of the Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center a chance to experience the basics of scuba diving for free.

The two-day event was organized by Virginia Scuba, a Manassas dive shop and training center, as a way to give back to patrons of the Freedom Center.  Virginia Scuba's instructors regularly hold diving certification classes in the pool.

About 50 people showed up for the class, and organizers hope to hold the event every few months.
