As a member of the Patriots Cohort and entering his second year in the MBA program Jordan Fuhr has had a unique experience on campus. As a University of Maryland alumnus, Fuhr has held numerous leadership positions since his days at College Park where he was inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa national leadership honor society. He currently works at the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation, which is a not-for-profit education foundation focused on building the geospatial intelligence tradecraft and community. After being promoted, he now stands as the director of marketing and strategic communications for the organization.
While all these characteristics make Fuhr a great fit for Mason’s MBA program, it’s what he does outside academics that has the attention of the students in Arlington. As an avid outdoorsman, Fuhr enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding and CrossFit. In fact, Jordan has already completed two triathlons and will be running the Rock & Roll Marathon coming up next month in our nation’s capital. Completing an Olympic-distance triathlon is no easy feat, nor is training for one while going through the rigors of working full time and maintaining the responsibilities of an MBA student. Fuhr is planning on training for his third triathlon in the fall.
When informed about the possibility of the Arlington campus getting a fitness center he exclaimed, “I think it would be great if the Arlington campus added a fitness center. With classes beginning at 7:20 p.m., getting in a workout before class would nice.”
Saying Fuhr is busy would be an understatement; however, he finds the time to train and compete athletically while dually pursing his passion as a business leader.
