Quarterbacks | Opponent |
---|---|
1. Aaron Rodgers (GB)- For the second year in a row, Rodgers is the number-one fantasy QB in the NFL. This week he is playing Detroit, so all owners should be very happy. | Det |
2. Michael Vick (Phi)- This is his first of two meetings against Dallas, and they have been giving up more than 350 yards per game to opposing offenses. Expect Vick's dominance to continue. | Dal |
3. Tom Brady (NE)- This is the hottest player in the NFL on the hottest team in the NFL. He led the Pats to a 45-point outburst against the Jets, a team known strictly for their defense. | Chi |
4. Philip Rivers (SD)- He doesn't have many options this year, but Rivers is still getting it done. He will need a big game to get a playoff surge going. | KC |
5. Drew Brees (NO)- The rest of the country may be cold, but it's starting to heat up in New Orleans. Brees has thrown for over 300 yards three games in a row. | StL |
6. Peyton Manning (Ind)- He is really struggling, and as a result so are the Colts. He has to turn it around at some point, so why not against the weak Tennessee defense? | Ten |
7. Kyle Orton (Den)- The Broncos have been a major disappointment, but Orton is having a good year. Although he struggled last week, expect him to turn it around against the Cardinals. | Ari |
8. Matt Ryan (Atl)- "Matty Ice" should look very cool in the pocket against the 1-11 Carolina Panthers. | Car |
9. Eli Manning (NYG)- He is still missing Hakeem Nicks, but Steve Smith will be returning. Plus, the Vikings are known for their run-defense, so expect the G-Men to do some passing. | Min |
10. Joe Flacco (Bal)- Houston has the worst secondary in the NFL, and he has Anquan Boldin and Derrick Mason on his side. | Hou |
Running backs | Opponent |
---|---|
1. Peyton Hillis (Cle)- Although he was held in check last week, he is facing the league's worst run defense this week, so expect good things. | Buf |
2. Adrian Peterson (Min)- He is still recovering from an ankle injury, but he looked pretty healthy last week when he rushed for over 100 yards and three TDs. Plus, Brett Favre is still ailing, so expect them to rely on the run. | NYG |
3. Maurice Jones-Drew (Jac)- He has rushed for over 100 yards five games in a row, making him one of the hottes players in the league. And is facing a weak Oakland rush defense. | Oak |
4. Chris Johnson (Ten)- He has had a relatively quiet year, but the Colts' have been unable to stop the run, or anything for that matter. | Ind |
5. Arian Foster (Hou)- He has been the most consistent RB in the NFL this year, so don't shy away from a matchup against the tough Ravens defense. | Bal |
6. Michael Turner (Atl)- He has an opportunity to put up big numbers, facing a Carolina defense that has allowed six TDs to opposing RBs in the last two weeks. | Car |
7. Rashard Mendenhall (Pit)- With Big Ben not 100 percent, expect the Steelers to play power football, especially against a rush defense as weak as the Bengals. | Cin |
8. LeSean McCoy (Phi)- He doesn't get as many carries as the other backs on this list, but he is the best duel-threat RB in the league. | Dal |
9. Knowshon Moreno (Den)- With Eric Studesville now running the show in Denver, a former running backs coach, chances are they will continue running the ball. | Ari |
10. Jamaal Charles (KC)- He has gone over 100 yards two weeks in a row and is always a must-start back. | SD |
Wide recievers | Opponent |
---|---|
1. Greg Jennings (GB)- Rodgers is the top QB, and Jennings is his favorite target. He has gone over 100 yards receiving three games in a row, and has five TDs in those three games. | Det |
2. Reggie Wayne (Ind)- He finally had a breakout game last week against the Cowboys with 14 catches for 200 yards and a score. He may not repeat that performance, but the Titans won't be able to stop him. | Ten |
3. Andre Johnson (Hou)- Bad ankle, grueling Ravens D... doesn't matter. If you own him, you must start him. Expect him to light up the Monday Night stage. | Bal |
4. Roddy White (Atl)- Never put a top target on the bench against the Panthers, especially not this guy. | Car |
5. Marques Colston (NO)- He is the top-option of a high-scoring offense, and he has five TDs in his last six games. | StL |
6. Jeremy Maclin/ DeSean Jackson (Phi)- Although it has been the Michael Vick show in Philly, he will be passing to one of these guys. Either guy is a must-start. | Dal |
7. Dwayne Bowe (KC)- Even without catching a single pass last week against Denver, he is still the number-one fantasy WR in the NFL. | SD |
8. Calvin Johnson (Det)- He has 12 TDs in 12 games this season. There is a good chance he is going to end up in the end zone. | GB |
9. Brandon Lloyd (Den)- He has been one of the most consistent recievers in the league. Although he had a quiet game last week, expect him to return to greatness this week. | Ari |
10. Wes Welker (NE)- He is Brady's favorite target and the Pats are the highest scoring team in the NFL. Things are looking good for Welker owners. | Chi |
Tight ends | Opponent |
---|---|
1. Vernon Davis (SF)- Coming off a solid performance in which he had 126 recieving yards and a score, exect good things to continue with Alex Smith returning. | Sea |
2. *Antonio Gates (SD)- He is a must-start and the best TE in the league if he is able to go. He is listed as questionable. | KC |
3. *Jacob Tamme (Ind)- If he is able to go Thursday night against the weak Tennesse defense, he is also a must-start. Peyton loves using his TEs, especially in the short-passing game. | Ten |
4. Chris Cooley (Was)- Donovan McNabb doesn't have many offensive options, and Cooley is one of the more reliable guys he has. The Bucs will score some points against the Skins, so McNabb will have to throw the ball. | TB |
5. *Jason Witten (Dal)- With Dez Bryant out, Jon Kitna will have to look to Witten more. He had five catches and a score last week against Indy. | Phi |
6. *Tony Gonzalez (Atl)- He has an opportunity to have a big game against the Panthers, who give up lots of points to opposing TEs. | Car |
7. Kevin Boss (NYG)- Since losing Hakeem Nicks and Steve Smith, Eli has used Boss more in the offense. He has three TDs since Week 9. | Min |
8. Benjamin Watson (Cle)- He exploded for 10 catches and 100 yards last week, and has the pleasure of facing the Bills this week. It's a nice change for Browns fans to actually be favored in a football game. | Buf |
9. Mercedes Lewis (Jac)- He doesn't get lots of targets, but is used often when the Jags reach the red zone. There is always a possibility for him to score. | Oak |
10. Kellen Winslow (TB)- The Skins defense has been shaky, and he is the second option for the Bucs, only behind Mike Williams. | Was |
*Questionable
