C2M's list of unique study spots
As you continue to grind away studying for finals, C2M has compiled a list of unique study locales where you can exercise your brain muscles.
Enterprise Hall glass overpass
Are you a claustrophobic person that just hates the feeling of closed-in libraries? Then, the open features of Enterprise Hall may be your new study spot. Enterprise Hall has a connected passageway from the one side of the building to the other. This area is relaxing, outfitted with comfortable chairs in a very open setting. Maybe the best part is the great view of campus on both sides of glass passageway. To get to this location, just drive or walk straight to the Sandy Creek Parking Deck. Enterprise is the building directly in front of the small parking lot at the top of the Sandy Creek traffic circle.

Johnson Center ground floor hallway
Can you not seem to find a place that is both comfortable and quiet? If you go down to the ground floor of the Johnson Center, to the right of Dewberry Hall, there is a hallway filled with a couple of comfortable chairs. It is conveniently located, right by the bathrooms and not far from Jazzman’s café. Nobody regularly passes through this hallway, except for the maintenance workers. So, kick back, relax, and maybe even grab a bite to eat from upstairs. The Johnson Center is located at the center of campus. Take the stairs or an elevator to the bottom level of the building and walk past the Cinema to the right of Dewberry Hall.

SUB I upper floors
In SUB I, the Patriot's Lounge experiences fluxes of busyness – but no worries – the recent addition has opened up some new study spots. If you’re up for climbing a couple staircases and can tolerate that distinct “new building smell,” I’ve got the spot for you. New office space on the third floor of the building boasts some comfortable hallway seating. As you walk in to the building, walk through – or beside the crowds seated on the first floor and climb the stairs to the second level. Then, walk through the doors to the recent addition and climb the glass-enclosed staircase to find this hidden gem. SUB I is located across from the Fenwick Library and behind Robinson Hall near the center of campus.

SUB II near the info desk
In the midst of renovation, SUB II may not look like the most inviting place to study but a collection of seating on the upper level of the building offers just that. The location is perfect for groups especially since the couches encircle a central table. Imagine how popular this place will be next semester, when renovations are complete and a new burger joint enters the picture. Beat the crowds and enjoy this quiet study environment while you can. SUB II is located next to the Southside dining facility and can be easily seen due to the ongoing renovation to the building.

Research I near the observation tower
Draw inspiration by studying in the Research I building. An especially perfect place to study for that astronomy final since the building houses a 12 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope offering great views of the sky from the observation platform. Okay, so maybe it’s a little too cold for any outdoor observation but this place is off-the-beaten-path and can provide just what the focused studier needs. Pull up a chair, grab a notebook, a water bottle and a granola bar, or whatever it is you need to stay engaged. Research I is located near the Sandy Creek Parking deck. From the center of campus, walk towards and under the Enterprise Hall overpass and Research I will be on your left.
