Virginia Supreme Court upholds Mason gun policy
The Virginia Supreme Court upheld a Fairfax Circuit Court ruling Thursday that said George Mason University could ban guns in campus buildings.
The court’s unanimous ruling said Mason’s policy does not violate the Second Amendment right to bear arms in the U.S. Constitution or a similar provision in the Virginia Constitution.
Rudolph DiGiacinto, who is not a Mason student but would like to carry a gun while using the campus library and other facilities, brought the original case, according to the Associated Press.
