Tuesday, Feb. 14 What it is: The Patriots take on big-time rivals VCU at home this week in what's sure to be one of the most exciting games of the season. Why it’s our pick: Mason and VCU are currently tied for first in the CAA Men's Basketball rankings, with the victor of this game clinching the top the spot (unless Drexel beats William and Mary). This is going to be one of the season's most important games and you don't want to miss it. Where: Patriot Center, 9 p.m. |
Wednesday, Feb. 15 What it is: At this event, Career Services will teach attendees how to build and improve resumes and cover letters, as well as familiarize students with the various resume building resources available. Attendees are encouraged to bring a draft resume or cover letter. Why it’s our pick: In this less than stellar job market, any edge you can find might be what gets you that job. Having a well-crafted resume might be the advantage that does it. Where: SUB I room 3400, 3:30 – 5 p.m. |
Thursday, Feb. 16 What it is: Visual and performing artist and Mason alum Deborah Lash presents When the House Burns Down, a month long gallery show that follows two children in a world without people or possessions. Why it’s our pick: This powerful series examines what happens when two people find each other in a world that is otherwise empty. Where: Johnson Center Gallery 123, 6 – 7:30 p.m. |
Friday, Feb. 17 What it is: Join the Program Board for glow in the dark mini golf! Students can play as much as they want for free, with free food and refreshments being provided as well. Why it’s our pick: This should be a unique way to spend a Friday night, and you can't argue with the price. Where: The Hub (SUB II) Ballroom, 8 p.m. |
Friday, Feb, 17 and Sunday, Feb, 19 What it is: Written and performed by award winning actress Kaiulani Lee, this one-woman show highlights the life and achievements of Mother Jones, one of the most important women in the formation of the American Labor Movement.
