Camo Lover

When you think of the word camo, either two things come to mind: the army and/or the camo print cargo shorts boys used to wear in 5th grade. I mean, EVERYONE had them. However, as it’s popularity decreased throughout the years, the camo print was thought of as tacky as close-toed Fisherman sandals (which I shamefully admit to have worn once).

One day as I was shopping around the racks at American Eagle Outfitters, I came across a shirt which was in no other print than camo. After staring at the shirt for endless minutes like an art enthusiast stares at a Matisse, I shook my head and left the store. “Ha! Camo . . . who would wear it?” I thought.

Well friends, it turns out that I, myself, would end up wearing that camo shirt. After walking around the mall, something magical happened. I had that evil (or good, in most cases) voice inside my head that kept telling me, “Paola . . . Paola . . . You know you want it . . . Look at the potential.” As always, I caved in and I haven’t looked back since!

One of the main factors that attracted me to the print was purely its versatility. With camo being composed mainly of neutral colors, I found it easy to mix and match it with other neutrals in my closet such as pants, coats, shoes, and accessories. Also, although I is a very eye-caching print, if you accessorize it correctly, you won’t have people staring at you, wondering if you’re in the army or not/

Camo, you have found yourself a new fan! Camo is back and here to stay!
