Green Machine named 'Most Entertaining Pep Band' in Bleacher Report list

Doug Brodess, a featured columnist on Bleacher Report, released a top-10 list of the "Most Entertaining Pep Bands in College Basketball" on Sunday.

The Green Machine, George Mason University's pep band, rounded out his list as the most entertaining pep band in college basketball, narrowly beating out Virginia Commonwealth University's band, VCU Peppas, for the top spot. 

The Green Machine is directed by Dr. Michael Nickens, known primarily by the Mason community as Doc Nix.

After sweeping the competition at the 2006 Final Four Battle of the Bands, the Green Machine has rode the momentum, with a number of viral videos on YouTube, all on the way to establishing itself as America's favorite college basketball pep band.
