By Broadside News Editor Asma Chaundhary

The 12th Annual Victims’ Rights Run/Walk came to George Mason University in order to raise funds for victims as well as the Aimee Willard Endorsement Scholarship Fund. In addition, donations will be given to the Sexual Assault Services Victims of Violence Fund and the University Police Rape Aggression Defense program.

The general public was invited to participate in the event which was held last Tuesday and included faculty, staff, students and the surrounding Mason community. The participation amounts ranged from $5 to $15 along with an open additional donation for the cause.

Runners are able to select the 5K amount while walkers may select two miles for the event, which circles the Fairfax campus at the Center for the Arts as well as Mason Pond Road.
