Men’s Soccer falls to Hofstra at home
|The George Mason Men’s Soccer team (7-6-2, 3-4-2) faced a tough loss to the Hofstra Pride, falling 2-1 in overtime Wednesday night. Hofstra’s game-winning goal in overtime was scored off a direct kick, hitting junior Eber Martinez in the chest before landing in the net.
Hofstra did not dominate the close game.
At the 10-minute mark, Mason senior forward Ernesto Marquez crossed the ball over rolling it right in front of the net. The shot just was missed.

Mason to film holiday video, invites community to play role
|Hold off on your Halloween costume and grab your Greek letters, Mason gear and maybe a fake mug of eggnog-- George Mason University is filming its first-ever holiday video this week.
The video, originally President Alan Merten's idea, will eventually be posted on Mason's homepage and be sent to students, faculty, staff, alumni and others in the community.
Campus connection is topic of work session tonight
|Options for connecting the east and west parts of Mason’s Fairfax campus will be at the center of a work session tonight with the Fairfax City Council and university representatives.
The session is billed as an outreach to the community about the proposed traffic changes.
Mason named one of the best schools for vegan cuisine in U.S. by Peta2
|The dining options at George Mason University recently had Mason named one of the top vegan schools in the country by Peta2.
The Most Vegan-Friendly College competition, sponsored by Peta2, has been going on for a few weeks now.
Mason, a training ground for parkour
|Strolling through campus and suddenly seeing a guy jump off a wall, climb up a building, and hop from one ledge to another—it’s not a movie scene with a daring stunt guy—its just Parkour.
This growing group of stuntsters are infiltrating locations from parks to malls to George Mason University.
