CAA tournament footage [VIDEO]

Although the Mason Men's Basketball team lost to VCU on Sunday in the CAA semifinals tournament 63-79, scores of students, faculty and alumni made their way to Richmond to cheer on their Patriots. C2M's George Yanez accompanied students as they traveled down I-95 South to the Richmond Coliseum and collected video footage of the annual tournament.

University Hall to open doors on May 15

University Hall, the near-completed building next to Rappahannock River Parking Deck, will officially open its doors on May 15. Some administrators and offices will, however, have moved in earlier.

Book raises questions about Lincoln's colonization views

A new book by George Mason University professors Philip Magness and Sebastian Page makes the case that former U.S. President Abraham Lincoln was more committed to colonizing slaves than previously known.

The book called, “Colonization After Emancipation,” presents newly uncovered documents found at the British National Archives outside London.

Plans for University Mall updated

Responding to community input, developers have updated their plans for the renovation of the University Mall shopping area, which is located across the street from Mason’s Fairfax Campus.  Read more from Burke Patch and see the plans here.

Patriots get by Georgia State on second half surge, 68-45


Senior Cam Long led the way for the Patriots with 15 points in their win over Georgia State in the quarterfinals of the CAA Tournament. They will face VCU in the semifinals Sunday at noon.  (John Powell)
