Merten ranks in top 10 for compensation among public university presidents
|President Alan Merten ranked in the top 10 in total compensation of public university leaders in the United States during the 2009-2010 year, according to an annual survey released in April by the Chronicle of Higher Education. Merten was the 10th highest paid public university president
Mike Morrison continues to recover from surgery

Junior Mike Morrison recently underwent surgery to remove a screw from his knee. He is a key part of the Patriots' lineup, primarily becuase of his defensive intensity. (John Powell)
Bike shelters installed across campus
|Bike shelters have cropped up across campus over the last month. The shelters are meant to encourage bike usage throughout campus and the Office of Parking and Transportation will increase the numbers of shelters to 10 by Summer 2011. The shelters, besides protecting bikes from rain or snow, will also serve as a way to generate ad revenue for Mason.

International Week turns 31

The 31st annual International Week kicked off this past weekend. The week, which is a George Mason University tradition, showcases the various cultures of Mason's diverse student body.

Stress is a common theme for students
|Clusters of students huddled over their laptops or flipping through textbook pages until early hours of the morning is a typical scene in the Johnson Center Library at Mason. It’s also common to see Facebook statuses relaying the same message: papers, exams and projects are stressing students out.
But it isn’t just schoolwork frazzling the nerves of students. There is a plethora of other factors causing stress around Mason as well.

Baseball wins in walk-off Saturday against VCU, loses the series

On a cold Saturday afternoon at Spuhler Field, the Mason Baseball team rallied back from a 4-0 deficit to win on a walk-off by Blaise Fernandez against the Rams of VCU, winning by a count of 5-4.
