Students create official George Mason University "Harlem Shake" video
|What started off as a way to pass time during a slow day in Australia has become an instant viral hit. These “Harlem Shake” videos have become the latest pop culture hit. With millions of views on YouTube, everyone has joined in the craze.
Invisible Children GMU welcomes up-and-coming musicians for benefit show
|On Tuesday, Feb.12, George Mason University’s chapter of the non-profit Invisible Children hosted a free benefit show. The event showcased music by three up and coming performers including student artist, Miranda Lapides, the Great American Canyon Band and California-based band, Branches.
Hunter, Panthers dominate Patriots, 78-60 in last meeting as conference foes
|As the final fireworks crackled above the Mason Pond Saturday night, R.J. Hunter emerged from the depths of the Patriot Center. A small cut near his right eye winced as a smile stretched across his youthful, freshman face.
And for good reason.
He had much to be pleased with after scoring 25 points for his Georgia State University Panthers, who spoiled George Mason University's homecoming in a dominating 78-60 win.
Student Spotlight: Q&A with Scott Green

Scott Green is a George Mason University MBA candidate who is set to graduate this spring. He has been a member of the Jackson Cohort and taken courses on the Arlington campus since 2010. A University of Richmond alumnus, Green currently lives in Arlington, Va. with his wife. He can be found after class enjoying a beer and watching his beloved Boston Red Sox or other New England sports teams.
Why did you choose Mason for your MBA?
SG: I believe it offers the best value of the DC-area MBA programs, especially for Virginia residents, which I am. Also, the class schedule fits nicely with my work schedule, and the Arlington campus is a short walk or drive from my apartment.

Mason’s Dining Services Request for Proposals committee has reached a confidential decision regarding to whom they will grant the 5-year contract. Dining companies Sodexo and Chartwells are competing for the contract.

New Mosaic District offers something unique for everyone
|A new shopping and dining area has recently opened. Approximately 20 minutes from George Mason University’s Fairfax campus, the Mosaic District offers something for everyone.
Located off of Lee Highway and Gallows Road, the Mosaic District was built over abandoned land. Previously looking like a resting site for broken dumpsters, the area now boasts hip stores, restaurants and a high-tech movie theater.
