Typically, I intend to write about artists featured on an episode of The Enclosed Instruction Book the day after that show. This will be the first of many.
 
 

 The Enclosed Instruction Book exists under the guise of a new wave and local artist show. In truth, that is exactly what it is; the secret lies in the nature of that music. New Wave was a broad label placed on numerous diverse artists from Yellow Magic Orchestra to Divinyls to Wreckless Eric to the B-52s. New Wave, however unintentionally, united punk, synthpop, post-punk, and even bossa nova under one flag; after the excess of Disco and the pop giants of the late 70s, a reversion to creating music without instructions.
