Governor Romney will visit Mason on Monday
|UPDATE: Monday's rally will be held at the Patriot Center, not at the RAC.
Governor Mitt Romney will hold a "Victory Rally" on Monday, Nov. 5 at the Patriot Center at George Mason University.
Doors will open at 12:45 p.m. and the event will begin at 2:45 p.m.

11:38 a.m.: The Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center on the Prince William campus will open at 12:00 p.m. today.
Parking: All parking regulations and permits will be in effect beginning on Wednesday. "If you have moved your vehicle into one of the parking decks please remove your vehicle before 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 31," read an email sent through Mason Alert.
UPDATE: Mason prepares for Hurricane Sandy
|UPDATE: Classes and administrative offices at Mason will be closed tomorrow and Tuesday morning because of Hurricane Sandy. "A decision on the operating status for Tuesday afternoon will be available by 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday," according to an email sent through Mason Alert. Here is the e-mail in its entirety:
Everlasting Life Café no longer coming to University Hall
|Everlasting Life Café will no longer open a location at George Mason University because café management made an economic decision to terminate the lease, according to Mark Kraner, executive director of Campus Retail Operations.
Everlasting Life Café serves 100 percent vegan food with organic and raw options, according to their website. The café planned to occupy a space in University Hall this semester, however, after finalizing the construction costs they withdrew.
Obama says Romney suffers from "Romnesia" in rally at Mason
|President Obama visited the Fairfax campus of George Mason University on Friday, Oct. 19 where he came out swinging at Governor Mitt Romney, and, using a new attack line, called Romney a flip flopper on the issues and referred to his change of views as a case of “Romnesia.”
President Obama to pay another visit to Mason this Friday
|President Barack Obama will be visiting George Mason University for the second time this month on Friday, Oct. 19.
The campaign event will be held at the RAC Field next to the Recreation and Athletic Complex on the Fairfax campus. Doors are set to open at 8:45 a.m.
A limited number of tickets will be available to Mason students.
Tickets are available online, and members of the public can request an e-ticket at http://OFA.BO/BarackGMU.
New campus in South Korea to open by 2014
|The George Mason University Board of Visitors recently authorized the university administration to establish a branch campus in Incheon, South Korea.
The new campus will be established at the Songdo Global University Campus, a location offshore of Korea that is part of the Incheon Free Economic Zone project.
The project intends to bring international businesses, technology and medical industries and education facilities such as foreign schools to the Songdo area, according to the campus website.
Obama talks to students about economy, women's healthcare at Mason
|President Barack Obama held a campaign rally in the Center for the Arts at George Mason University on Friday, Oct. 5.
“One month. Just one month from tomorrow, Virginia, you are going to step into a voting booth and going to have a very big choice to make,” Obama said to the Concert Hall crowd of about 2,000.
Former Virginia governor Tim Kaine showed his support for the president and spoke about his own campaign for senate.
Obama to hold rally at Mason
|President Obama will hold a campaign rally at Mason's Center for the Arts Concert Hall on Friday, October 5.
Doors will be open at 8:30 a.m., and the event is expected to start around 10:45 a.m.
There is a limited number of tickets on reserve for students with a strict one ticket per student limit. Students must have their student ID to get a ticket.
Tickets will start being distributed on Thursday, Oct. 4 at 9 a.m. in the Center for the Arts Concert Hall lobby.
