Get acquainted with the candidates for next year's Student Government at the debate on Wednesday, March 28 at 6 p.m., livestreamed right here at Connect2Mason.
The debate will recognize all students who are running for a position within Student Government and executive tickets will have the opportunity to state their platform and answer questions.
Here's a breakdown of the race as it currently stands:
The two tickets in the running for Student Body President and Vice President consist of Alex Williams and Jordan Foster and Liam Hennelley and Mohamed Ahmed.
The race began with three tickets, but the Election and Disputes Commission upheld a decision to remove Michael Jordan and Donald Garrett from the race for Student Body President and Vice President respectively after the EDC deemed they had violated the election code by beginning their campaign too early.
Jordan and Garrett have since filed an administrative appeal to be re-entered on the ballot. They are currently awaiting that decision.
Thirty-three students are also in the running for the 30 available Student Senate seats.
Ballots are released on Monday, April 2 at 12:15 a.m., and the polls close on Wednesday, April 4 at 12:15 a.m. Don't cast your vote uninformed!
