How To Get To Jammin' Java From The Fairfax Campus Without A Car
I'd be a jerk and say "by foot", since I have an idiotic ability to throw away hours at a time walking long distances, but even I can't make it over there due to some nasty overpasses and road areas that would probably result in me getting hit by a car.
Jammin' Java is one of the finest musical venues in the area, alongside Jaxx (which I'll talk about later, probably). It's literally just down the road from here; follow Chain Bridge, and stop when you reach the intersection with the Washington and Old Dominion trail (or Maple Avenue E, whatever you prefer). There are two buses that can get you there; both Metro, not CUE, unfortunately.
For weekdays, you'll want 15M. This is one of the most convenient buses out of the campus; although its route is simple, just going down Chain Bridge to Tysons and back, it negates the need for a trek through the subway to West Falls Church and then onto another bus.

Now, you'll notice it stops before a normal concert ends. You can still get back, though; it's just that the ride back might be a bit longer. There's another bus, 2T, that runs on weekends (but you'll have to go to Dunn Lorring/Merrifield first), and for longer; it can get you from there to the Dunn Lorring/Merrifield station. From there, just take the train one station down and you're home free, at Vienna; from there, a CUE or Mason to Metro can get you back.

And there you go; easy, cheap access to my second-favorite venue in Fairfax. By the way, for some reason they don't fleece you for food and drinks there. I'm not sure why.
