New options for Virginia to New York travel

Getting to New York City just got easier for Mason students as the DC2NY transportation service announced new departures from the Vienna/Fairfax/GMU Metro Station on the Orange Line beginning Nov. 23.

The company also announced new departures from the Franconia-Springfield Metro Station on the Blue Line in a new VA2NY push that the company says will better serve customers outside of the district.

DC2NY already offers service from three D.C. locations, including Dupont Circle, 14th Street, and Union Station, but the new service is the company’s first expansion into Northern Virginia.

The VA2NY buses offer free WiFi access and travel to New York’s Penn Station at the corner of 33rd and 7th. The trip takes about 4.5 hours.

Trips between Virginia and New York cost $28 one-way and $50 round-trip for members, and $30 one-way and $55 round-trip for non-members. Walk-up fares are $35 each way.

Buses leave both Virginia stops several times a day, and to see a full schedule, click here.
