University Mall could have a renovation in its future

The shopping center across Braddock Road from the Mason campus could be the center of a renovation and expansion if plans between stakeholders in the University Mall complex come to reality.

Fasolini works to strike plea deal on child porn case

The former part-time Mason Italian-language professor arrested in October for possession of child pornography was back in court yesterday where the judge set an end of the month deadline to strike a plea deal.

Diego Fasolini, 42, and the attorneys involved have worked to settle the case without going to trial. The contention to that deal being made is discussion about property being returned to Fasolini.

Mason Alert system undergoes changes

Following an evaulation, The Mason Alert system will now only send emergency information to subscribers. 

The system, which timeliness been criticized in the past, will no longer send updates about traffic, events or other breaking news subscriptions that users were previously able to opt in for such as CNN breaking news alerts. The system will now only send information that is immediately pertinent to the health and safety of subscribers.

GMUnit sings way to talent show victory

Students compete for title of Mason Majesty

Students strutted their stuff on stage for their chance at the Mason Majesty title this Monday evening. Candidates went through formal wear, trivia, personal questions and talent segments, and were cheered on by their fans and friends. 

Mason student leaving Cairo

Several local universities, including Mason, have students studying in Egypt who are evacuating the country amidst social and political unrest that has intensified in recent days.
