Obama Officially Wins N.C. (Missouri Still TIED)

Recently in my article "Final Election Tally '08," I had declared North Carolina in favor of Barack Obama. But according to Yahoo!'s Political Dashboard and numerous reports suggested the state was still considered a tie.

Now, after careful examination of the county-to-county polls in North Carolina (which hasn't been won by a Democrat since 1976 when Jimmy Carter swept the state), the state is officially a blue state this election.

In an almost 13,700 deficit, the polls still show Obama 50% to McCain 50%, but is in Obama's favor with 100% precincts reported.

Pumpkin Makeover

Just a reminder to everyone, we're having the Extreme Pumpkin Makover next week! The following is just what was sent out on Wednesday to AVT students.

This is just a friendly reminder that it's time to get into the Halloween spirit! And what better way to get the ghouls howling than a pumpkin decoration event!

This October, AIGA will be hosting its annual Extreme Pumpkin Makeover Contest! It's time to test your skills and creativity to win the title of Mason's Pumpkin Makeover Extraordinaire (and an brand new iPod Shuffle!)

The rules are simple:

Is GMU really a great school?

Aside from all the hype the admissions office or student ambassadors fluff up about gmu to make it sound so great, is it really?
Im a senior in high school and I really think gmu is the school for me but there is still doubt as to whether or not its really as great as it seems...
can someone, anyone, give me their opinion on the school-negatives, positives, ANYTHING
i could really use it

thanks
